Introduction

Post by NitrousX on Sat Jan 29, 2011 2:56 pm

My Name is Samuel, My alias is NitrousX123. Bin a TDU fan for long time from the days of 3DO, PC and Playstation versions of Test Drive. series before the game turned into a social fun community game it become today.
So basically I'm from the 1st gen of gamers who played the NFS genre type games of TDU universe. Not only do I play racing games i play:

FPS: COD, Unreal Tournament, Quake etc
RPG's: Fallout, Final Fantasy, Start Craft
Sims: Sims, Rollercoaster tycoon, Tycoon series

So you see I dip into allot of genres and I play on a vast majority of consoles as well Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC.
I've also been in clan/guild before from a game called Drift City a Online MMO for pc similar to TDU but more grinding involved. I was part of big community of fun, loving bunch of people who played for fun and for kicks. And for me to build another clan I want to create fun, friendly and competitive sort of community who just play for the heck of it. So thats me in a whole, enough about me lets talk about you ^^

My name is Nathan, my Alias is nathanddave I have mainly played on my xbox360. However, after I built my computer, I started playing that a lot more. I played Test Drive Unlimited on my xbox for quite a while. I have been into other racing games such as Grid.

The other games that I have been playing for a while are Command and Conquer 3 and Halo 3.

For a while I did play World of Warcraft, but I have stopped now as other things became more important.

I can't wait to play TDU2 I enjoyed the first game throughly.

Core i5 @ 3.2Ghz, P7P55D-Deluxe, XFX 5850, CM690II advanced, F3 Samsung 1TB, Gelid Tranquillo, Antec 750W truepower, Corsair 4GB

Bought that all 6 months ago roughly at the cost of £1000, with the release of the new LGA1155 sockets the price of my hardware has gone down. However, I am not entirely sure when they are coming but the new socket the LGA2011, the motherboards are coming with the new PCIe 3.0 slots which will mean the price of their graphics cards will probably be quite high. This is the only problem with computer hardware, companies are developing much better hardware very quickly.

A few things to add, firstly the LGA1155 motherboards have been taken off the market for the time being because of a SATA hardware issue which I am not sure about also the new PCIe 3.0 slots will be backwards compabitible with the graphics cards we use now of 2.0/2.1

Yeah espically graphics card, if you know anything about them taking the nvidia GTX 400 series which got many mixed reviews as many people said they had heating issues with it, I have never had one so I cannot comment on it. But nvidia released their GTX 500 series so quick compared to the time between the GTX 200 series and the 300 series. Which meant that ATI had to do something and bring out their 6800 and 6900 series, which has not had great reviews.

Yeah, the 2k series cpu's people have been able to overclock then to like 4.5Ghz which is insane, they must be so stable at low voltages for them to be able to do that without overheating, pretty awesome.

Yeah, for £500 you should be able to get something decent, just make sure you do some research before buying anything, to make sure you know what you are buying and what you are doing.

I'm a gaming fan in general, although due to work and university I slowed down my gaming pace...but right now I play these games:

-Battlefield Bad Company 2

-Borderlands
-GTA IV(DLC included)
-Test Drive Unlimited 2(futurely of course, still need to buy the game, I just got my salary recently so...)

I'll give my specs after I lunch so, looking future to ride with ya'll...

For me Borderlands is a fun game to play since it has a great humor at the same time an expansive gameplay...
By the way I forgot to mention that my steam account is:docblade605, so feel free to add me there.
And my computer specs are : intel i7 2.66Ghz, 6GB RAM DDR2, Nvidia 250 GTS 1gb, 500gb HDD, ain't the best computer but runs lots of games on max details...

My motherboard is Intel if I'm not wrong, and by the way the processor it's an i7 @ 2.80 ghz not 2.66ghz(not overlocked).
